Personally,

I believe they've already started producing the sequel, so
I don't think we have to wait for a long time before playing it.
If Xbox Next won't be available until 2006, the sequel won't be
released on them. But, it seems they're preparing some kind of
surprise for us. Shenmue might not be the same game as we know,
and I feel a bit nervous about it.
